- Near Field Communication (NFC) introduced (Android): Flamingo Fares Android app users will now be able to tap their smartphones in front of the onboard Flamingo Fares reader to pay their fare – no need to scan your barcode!
Wallet Suppression: Wallet suppression is a function that blocks Google Wallet, or any other digital wallet from launching from NFC-enabled phones at the time of fare payment. This allows for the Flamingo Fares reader to properly validate the customer's e-fare QR code
