COMING SOON: NEW CARS FOR 2018:
✔ Hyundai i30 N
Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 247bhp and 353Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, and the standard i30 N cracks 0-62mph in a claimed 6.4 seconds before going on to a top speed of 155mph. Adding the performance package slashes the 0-62mph time by three tenths to 6.1 seconds, though top speed remains an electronically limited 155mph.
✔ Lexus LS 500h F Sport 2018
Lexus designed an all-new 3.5-liter V6 engine specifically for the new 2018 LS 500, using twin turbochargers developed through the company’s F1 technology. This new twin-turbo V6 offers V8-level performance – 415 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque – paired with the first-ever 10-speed automatic transmission in luxury sedan.
✔ Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package
The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring package is a new version of the high-performance Porsche 911 GT3 that will delight shoppers interested in a stick-shift, back-to-basics version of the sporty coupe. Also remaining in place is the 911 GT3's powertrain -- a 4.0-liter flat-6 that's been recently updated to offer 500 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The Touring will also include ceramic brakes, a front axle lifter and LED headlights. But it won't offer an automatic transmission: Porsche's PDK is cast aside in the GT3 Touring package, replaced instead with a 6-speed manual transmission.
✔ Audi A7
The base A7 features a turbocharged V6 engine that puts out 340 horsepower – and this is the slow model (though it still delivers good power and acceleration in all driving situations). The real crowd pleasers are the performance-oriented S7 and RS 7, which feature turbocharged V8s that put out 450-605 horsepower and deliver blinding acceleration and top speeds of at least 155 mph.
✔ Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster
The Aventador S Roadster takes the coupe’s four-wheel drive, active suspension, four-wheel steering and EGO driving mode. It should also go without saying it’s also powered by the naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine (740 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque). Lamborghini has stated that the Aventador S Roadster has a 0-62 mph time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph.
