HOW SYNTHETIC PHONICS WORKS
All words are composed of sounds. There are 44 sounds in the English language. To read, kids learn to blend individual sounds of a word. Like, blend the sounds /c-a-t/ to read 'cat'.
To spell, children learn to segment a word into the individual sound. Like 'pig' is broken to the sounds /p-i-g/ to spell. Once children master these skills, reading and spelling any word becomes effortless.
SOUND INTRODUCTION
In the UptoSix Phonics App, 24 sounds of the alphabet are taught (because the letter ‘c’ and ‘k’ make the same sound. And ‘q’ is taught as the digraph ‘qu’).
LETTER FORMATION
It is important for preschoolers to learn how to write with proper formation. Animation helps to learn to write letters with proper formation. No auto-correction of Writing.
CONCEPT REINFORCEMENT
